 Where do you make your products?

All of our products are handcrafted in our Charleston, SC studio. If you’re ever in the area, please stop by for a tour and see our artisans at work! We are open Monday through Friday from 9am-5pm, excluding holidays. 

 How long does a Brackish design last? Is it durable?  

We are always striving to create, innovate, and improve. Our designs have gone through countless transformations since their inception to maximize functionality and durability. We have developed a proprietary process that enables a functional existence, while still portraying each piece’s natural beauty. Take care of your Brackish piece and it will last a lifetime. However, if your feathers start to ruffle, we are happy to repair your design at no no charge through our Brackish Guarantee.  What is the Brackish return policy?

We offer a 30 day return and exchange policy on all orders purchased directly from Brackish. (30 days from the date of purchase). No exceptions. All returns must be approved by our Quality Control Department before a refund can be issued. If the product shows signs of wear, we cannot issue a return. Refunds on shipping costs, gift wrapping, promotional items or box engraving are not available. Unfortunately, because of customs and tariff issues, Brackish cannot provide return shipping for international orders. Nonetheless, we will be happy to work with you to find an efficient way of returning the product. Please contact our Customer Service Department and they can help initiate a return or exchange. International Orders

Due to international regulations we are unable to ship peacock outside of the United States. A list of all products that are available for international shipping can be found here. All orders shipping internationally are subject to additional shipping charges based on taxes, tariffs, and duties placed by the recipient's country. Brackish is not associated with these fees. All fees are paid for by the customer at the time of delivery. 

How much does shipping and handling cost?

We have various shipping methods and costs depending on the preference of delivery time.  Orders over $250 qualify (not including tax) for free ground shipping. Shipping costs for orders placed with an expedited shipping method or outside of the Continental United States will be calculated based on the weight of the package, shipping location, and other UPS charges. 

We are aware that mistakes may be made by third party shipping providers. If this occurs, it is out of our control. We will do everything we can to rectify the situation, but we are not responsible for any lost packages due to mistakes made by shipping providers.

 Does Brackish ship to PO Boxes or military APO/FPO addresses?

All domestic orders ship through UPS and USPS. UPS does not deliver to PO Boxes or military APO/FPO addresses.  USPS provides both of these services.

 How long does it take for my order to ship once it is placed?

Please allow up to 3 to 5 days for processing on all orders placed using our Standard shipping option. Due to higher demand during the holiday season, please allow more time to ensure that your order arrives on time. All expedited orders will be processed for shipment the next business day. You will receive a tracking number along with your shipping confirmation email once the order has been processed and shipped. 

 I need my Brackish product for a specific event on a specific day!

Brackish offers 2nd Day Air and Next Day Air shipping options. Expedited shipping methods are processed for shipment the next business day. We recommend putting a comment in the special instructions box during checkout and we'll be sure you receive it in time!

Gift Cards 

E-Gift cards and physical gift cards can be redeemed online. Gift cards cannot be redeemed or returned for cash value, reloaded with additional value, resold, or transferred for value, except where required by law. Gift cards cannot be used to purchase other gift cards. No sales tax will be applied to the purchase of a gift card. Brackish will not replace lost or stolen gift cards without satisfactory proof of purchase. 

 How does Brackish obtain their feathers?

NO BIRD HAS BEEN HARMED FOR THEIR FEATHERS. Brackish obtains all feathers as humanely as possible. When birds molt, they lose old feathers naturally in preparation for new feathers. When possible, the feathers are obtained in this manner. In other instances, feathers are obtained through farmers who raise free range birds. The feathers are usually thrown away as a waste product, but Brackish sustainably reuses them. We wholeheartedly believe in respectfully repurposing nature. 

I have a larger/smaller than average neck size. Can I still sport a Brackish bow tie?

Yes! The bow tie neck strap is adjustable from 13” to 21.” If you are interested in placing an order for a larger or smaller neck strap please contact our Charleston-based concierge. 

Can I change a center wrap on a bow tie? 

Brackish can change the center wrap on our bow ties for an additional fee. Please contact our Charleston-based concierge to place an order for a wrap change. 

 Why are Brackish bow ties not self tie?

We're aware of and respect the classic self tie bow, however, we take pride in disrupting those traditions, mostly because a self tie feather bow is nearly impossible. Trust us, that will not be an issue when sporting Brackish at your next event!
